Nurses are the largest clinical workforce and the daily users of AI at the point of care, yet the rooms where AI gets designed and deployed rarely include them. The Loop exists to change that: a professional home where verified nurses learn AI together, share what works in real practice, and connect with the industry on their own terms.
The Loop was founded by Stephen Ferrara, DNP, FNP, a family nurse practitioner with more than 25 years of experience spanning primary care, health policy, and health AI. The Loop and AI + Nurse Academy are brands of Ferrara Consulting Group LLC. The Academy provides AI education for nurses; The Loop is its community.
Membership is free for clinicians and always will be. The Loop is funded by companies, under rules designed to protect your trust:
Companies pay for structured, opt-in access: recruited feedback panels (members are paid honoraria), sponsored sessions, partner listings, and job postings. Sponsored content is always labeled. Companies never see your profile until you apply to a specific opportunity, never receive member lists, and cannot buy placement in discussions, points, or badges. We do not sell member data, and member spaces carry no advertising.
AI + Nurse Academy courses are a paid product of the same company. When we mention them here, treat that as self-promotion and weigh it accordingly.
One more consequence of this model: your feed is chronological, always. Because we never sell attention, no algorithm decides what you see, resurfaces old posts to provoke engagement, or buries new ones. Newest first, organized by the spaces you choose. That is a permanent commitment.
